Pallet Samples & Faults

The Pallet Sorting module allows quality control teams to record the results of sorting and inspection activities carried out on finished goods pallets. When pallets are physically sorted — for example, after a quality concern has been identified — this screen is used to capture the outcome.

For each pallet (identified by its SSCC barcode), the operator records which faults were found and their quantities. Each fault is described using a Defect Type and a Defect ID, providing a consistent and structured record of what was found.

The sorting activity is associated with a Sample Point, a Shift, a Packing Line, and optionally a Supplier and Operative, enabling detailed traceability of the sorting event. Results can then be reviewed using the Enquiries & Reports screens.
