First Login
First Login is the last step of the Install Guide.
Start Commander4j
Open Commander4j from the Start menu folder (Windows), the Commander4j folder in Applications (macOS) or the install folder (Linux). A splash screen appears, then the logon window.
If more than one connection is enabled in Setup4j, the logon window has a drop-down list to choose the database. Pick the one you created.
The default user
A new database contains one user:

Log in with these. Commander4j immediately asks you to choose a new password for admin. Do so and keep it somewhere safe: admin is the only account that exists until you create others.

What you will see
The main window has a menu tree on the left and opens each screen in its own window on the right. Some example data is already loaded (a customer called SELF, a few materials and locations) so that every screen has something to show. See Navigation for how to find your way around and Example Screens for what the main screens look like.
