Operating System (Required)

- MacOS (Intel or Apple Silicon)

Database (Required)

- Microsoft SQL Server (Express or full; recommended on Windows)
- mySQL
- MariaDB
- Oracle
Web Server for Mobile Scanners (Optional)
- Apache Tomcat 11.x on a server, for the single web application
c4j_commander4j_web.war— see Installation
Java (Optional)
- Java JDK 25 — only needed on the Tomcat server for the web application, and for the desktop application on Linux. Install the JDK, not the JRE. The Windows and macOS desktop installers include their own Java.
