Dictionary

The Dictionary is used within the Quality Control module to define the labels and field prompts that appear when operators enter inspection results. Rather than using generic field names, the Dictionary allows each data entry field to be given a meaningful, context-specific label.

Each Dictionary entry is associated with an Inspection and can define the alignment, data type, and display name for a test result field. This allows the same underlying data structure to present different prompts depending on the product or process being inspected.
