== Start Commander4j ==

Open '''Commander4j''' from the Start menu folder (Windows), the Commander4j folder in Applications (macOS) or the install folder (Linux). A splash screen appears, then the logon window.

If more than one connection is enabled in [[Setup4j]], the logon window has a drop-down list to choose the database. Pick the one you created.

A new database contains one user:

Log in with these. Commander4j immediately asks you to choose a new password for ''admin''. Do so and keep it somewhere safe: ''admin'' is the only account that exists until you create others.

The main window has a menu tree on the left and opens each screen in its own window on the right. Some example data is already loaded (a customer called ''SELF'', a few materials and locations) so that every screen has something to show.
